Solemnity of The Ascension of The Lord
Solemnity of The Ascension of The Lord Solemnity Of The Ascension Of The Lord

The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them. When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted. Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Reflection: “I am with you always.” On the mountain in Galilee, the Risen Jesus appears to the disciples and entrusts them with a final mission. Although they encounter the Lord again, the Gospel notes that some still doubt. This detail shows that Jesus does not require a perfect faith; rather, He places His trust in and sends forth even those who remain weak. The command, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,” opens a new horizon: the Gospel is not limited to one people or group but is offered to all humanity. Every baptized person is invited to share in this mission through the witness of daily life. The foundation of this mission is not human ability but the promise of Christ: “I am with you always, until the end of the age.” It is this constant presence that gives Christians the courage to live and proclaim the Gospel amid the challenges of today’s world.

Risen Lord Jesus, strengthen our weak faith and renew our trust in You. Help us to live as Your witnesses in our daily lives, and give us courage to share the Gospel with love. Remain with us always, until the end of the age. Amen.
